We at
KVCC believe that each person has the right to an opportunity to reach his or
her highest potential. We open our
doors to students with a wide range of abilities and backgrounds.
Some of our students did not complete high school; some already possess
postgraduate degrees. Our most
important admissions requirement is that students be prepared to study and to
become a full partner in the teaching and learning process.
Admission
to the College does not ensure enrollment in all courses or programs. Many courses have prerequisite requirements and some programs
have specific eligibility requirements.
To help ensure your success, we may ask that you take developmental
or remedial courses. But
don’t let that possibility deter you!
Talk with a counselor
and find out about the program you are interested in. If you are undecided as to a course of study, a counselor
can help you choose meaningful courses that count toward a degree
or transfer program.
Kalamazoo Valley Community College does not provide student housing. All
students must arrange for their own housing. A good source of information about
rental housing (apartments) in Kalamazoo is Michigan
Live's Kalamazoo Apartment Finder.
