Attractions

Kalamazoo is rich in culture: theater, visual arts and music. The Kalamazoo Institute of Arts, Kalamazoo Aviation History Museum, Civic Theatre, New Vic Theatre, Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra, annual Blues Festival, Kalamazoo Valley Museum, Miller Auditorium, Kalamazoo Nature Center, and Binder Park Zoo are a few of the area's cultural attractions. There is always something fun to do or see.

There are numerous choices for recreation and entertainment. Spectator sporting events are available including American football, basketball, ice hockey, baseball, and tennis. KVCC has both intercollegiate and intramural sports, as do WMU and Kalamazoo College. If team sports are not your interest, try golf, swimming, skiing, skating, and more. If you enjoy the big city, we are 150 miles (240 km) from both Chicago and Detroit. For more information about Kalamazoo, see www.kalamazoomi.com.
