KVCC Virtual Tour Michigan Seasons

Michigan has four full seasons: Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter.

Spring Tulips Summer, Pine Trees Fall, Pumpkins Winter, Skiing

Spring (March, April, May) starts off cold and rainy but quickly becomes warm and mild. Blooming flowers, returning birds, and budding trees signal that winter is losing its icy grip on the landscape.

Summers in Michigan (June, July, August) begin in the mild 70's Fahrenheit (averaging about 76 in July), but can be sweltering at 100 plus degrees and 80 to 90 percent humidity, giving ample reason to enjoy our 3,200 miles of shoreline, 11,000 inland lakes and 378 beaches.

Fall (September, October, November) is when Michigan shows its true colors. As temperatures begin to dip, the leaves of many trees begin to change showing off an incredible palette of warm oranges, fiery reds, and striking golds. A commute to work or school becomes an impromptu color tour.

Michigan is a Winter (December, January, February) wonderland. Temperatures can drop to -20 degrees Fahrenheit but usually stay between 15 and 40. Just when the mercury falls the festivities pick up! There's nothing quite like the holiday season in Michigan. Take in the contrasting beauty of quiet snowfalls and warm glowing lights. You might see people skiing, snowboarding, or ice skating, and no house is complete without a plump snowman standing cheerily in the front yard.
