Background Information
As a licensed counselor, I received my
Bachelor's Degree from Northern Michigan University and my Master's Degree in
Guidance and Counseling from Eastern Michigan University. I also have an
Education Specialist Degree from Wayne State University in Administration and
Organizational Studies. My counseling experiences have been at the
secondary level in the public school setting and most recently at the Community
College level. I have worked at KVCC since February of 2005.
Special Interests
A successful transition into college is so
important in reaching one's educational and career goals, and counselors are
available to assist students in this endeavor. I enjoy working with new
students, whether they are recently out of high school, or are entering college
for the first time after having been in the workforce, military, or at home with
children.
I am available to help
students adjust to college life and the academic needs that college courses
require. I can also help with career and personal counseling, new student
orientation, graduation audits, and transfer information to other institutions.
Please feel free to make an appointment to use the services we as counselors,
offer students at KVCC.
