  • Locate people or places on or off campus for special assistance
  • Explore credit for life and work
  • Gain credit for experience or credit by exam.

Meet the Counselors

From The Start...

Counselors are available both daytime and evenings on either campus.

Academic Counseling Services include:

  • Students can meet with a counselor by individual appointment or by attending a group orientation session to get the process started.
  • Developmental advising assists you in clarifying your goals and developing an educational plan to reach those goals.
  • Counselors can guide you through a process which brings to light important information you need in making informed decisions and understanding all of your options on the path to goal achievement.
As you proceed through college, your counselor is an ongoing connection to keep you moving forward. The Program Plan serves as an online-guide and up-to-date audit of your academic progress. The plan contains important information along with course requirements.

To The Finish...

Counselors become vital links to your future beyond college. Your counselor will conduct a pre-graduation audit with you, and link you up to job placement, internships, and transfer institutions. You are not alone as you build bridges to the next step in goal completion. Referrals to people and places on and off the campus are part of the counseling services.

And Then...

Because you change, and the world of work changes, you may find yourself returning to KVCC. Lifelong learning is here to stay as you keep abreast of new developments in your field, need retraining or re-certification, or you have a personal interest you want to pursue. Your counseling connection is waiting when you need it.
