Background Information
I am a licensed professional counselor specializing
in educational, career and academic advising here at KVCC. I work with students of all
ages and help students get credit for prior learning and life experiences where
appropriate. I am available to help students set their educational goals and plan a
program to get to those goals as well as deal with personal and life issues as they attend
college. I also specialize in helping students plan for academic transfer to 4 year
schools from our community college.
As a KVCC Counselor, I can assist you in:
- Getting admitted and oriented to the college and the
campus
- Select your courses and plan an academic
program
- Identify interests and skills to assist in
selecting a college major and a career choice
- Adjust your schedule and keep alert to
program requirements
- Prepare for graduation and/or transfer to
another school
- Deal with personal concerns in a private and
confidential setting
- Locate people or places on or off campus for
special assistance
- Explore credit for life and work experience
and credit by exam
Special Interests
I am especially interested in helping women who are returning to college after an absence
from an educational setting, and in helping student athletes.
