Dental Radiography

The dental radiography course provides participants with the dental assistant skills necessary for exposing radiographs in the dental office. This twenty hour course is in compliance with the Michigan Practice Act.  The Act states that dental assistants must take radiographs under general supervision if they have completed a course in dental radiography that is substantially equivalent to courses taught in approved RDA or RDH programs. Upon successful completion of this course, the participant will receive a certificate which should be displayed in the work environment.

Local Anesthesia for the Licensed Dental Hygienist

This course provides the registered dental hygienist with the basic and current concepts in the administration of local anesthesia. Upon successful completion of this course, the RDH will have met the didactic and clinical hours and course content required by the State of Michigan to become eligible for NERB examination on the administration of local anesthesia.

Nitrous Oxide Sedation

This course provides registered dental hygienists with basic and current concepts in the administration of nitrous oxide. This course meets the 4 hours didactic instruction, and the 4 hours clinical experience required by the Department of Community Health.
