Summer Financial Aid Information

Welcome to the Kalamazoo Valley Community College Financial Aid Office Homepage.  The Financial Aid Office provides numerous options for assisting students with the costs associated with attending KVCC.  These options include grants, scholarships, work opportunities, and loans to qualified students.  It is important that students applying for student aid complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible for the appropriate award year.

Please be informed, you will receive your financial aid credit balance/refund electronically.  For more information, go to www.valleyonecard.com .

Your VALLEY ONECARD will provide choice in how you will receive your financial aid credit balance/refund.  Refunding for the following semesters begin:

2010 Summer Semester - June 11, 2010

2010 Fall Semester - October 1, 2010

2011 Winter Semester - February 4, 2011

2011 Summer Semester - June 10, 2011

Federal regulations require that institutions provide specific consumer information about the school and about financial aid to enrolled and prospective students.  The KVCC Student Consumer Information Directory includes where you can find the information required to be disclosed.

The Financial Aid Office at Kalamazoo Valley Community College is concerned about the security and privacy of student records.  Students are required to provide identification (ex.  Valley ID Number) before they can receive service or obtain information about their financial aid record.  Students can authorize an eligible parent, spouse, or others to act on their behalf by completing a Release of Financial Aid Information form.

 The KVCC Financial Aid Office adheres to the Statement of Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct of the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA).

(The Financial Aid Office is not open evenings when classes are not in session)

In Person:

We are located in Office 4530 on the Texas Township Campus.  Financial Aid Advisors are available to meet with students by scheduled appointments  (269  488-4100).  Students can also obtain general financial aid information at our Arcadia Commons Campus located at the corner of Rose and Water Streets in Office 216.
