Continuing Education Center for Health Careers CPR Courses BCLS Recertification for Health Care Professionals This course is designed to recertify practitioners in Basic Cardiac Life Support for health care providers, using the 2006 American Heart Association guidelines. Included in this course is the care of adult, pediatric, and infant patients experiencing respiratory arrest, airway obstruction, and cardiac arrest. In order to receive the American Heart Association certificate of completion, the final exam score must be at least 85%. Prerequisites: A current American Heart Association CPR card (that has not expired or has expired within the last month prior to the course).
