  • Gale Virtual Reference Library (InfoTrac): GVRL is a database of encyclopedias and specialized reference sources for multidisciplinary research in business, environment, history, medicine, nation & world, and science.

  • CAMIO - Catalog of Art Museum Images Online (FirstSearch):  A premiere resource of works of art from around the world contributed and described by leading museums. High-quality art images are rights-cleared for educational use. Every work in CAMIO is represented by at least one high-resolution image and a description. Many have additional views of the work, sound, video and curatorial notes
  • SIRS Renaissance (ProQuest):  Full text articles on architecture and design, culture, literature, multimedia, music, performing arts, philosophy and religion, and visual arts. Time lines and images are included, with lots of links to related articles.
  • Naxos Music Library:  Extensive collection of online classical music recordings. Also includes wide variety of jazz, world, folk and Chinese music. (Headphones or speakers required to hear audio.)

  • Heritage Quest (ProQuest): Combines digital, searchable images of U.S. Federal Census records with 22,000 titles from the digitized version of the UMI® Genealogy & Local History collection and other valuable content including Freedman's Bank records, PERSI, the Revolutionary War Era Pension & Bounty-Land Warrant Application Files, and the LexisNexis® U.S. Serial Set.  It is mostly full text.

  • ArticleFirst (FirstSearch):  Although a general database, ArticleFirst contains many Dental Hygiene articles and abstracts. If you do not find full-text articles, set ArticleFirst search option to "Limit Availability to Subscriptions held by my Library" to locate references to articles in KVCC print journals.
  • CINAHL (EBSCOhost): CINAHL - Authoritative journal articles for nursing and allied health professionals, students, educators and researchers. Includes Pre-CINAHL with access to new journal article citations before they are fully indexed and added to CINAHL. PowerPoint Tutorial
  • Health Reference Center Academic (InfoTrac):  Health topics, including dental hygiene, fitness, nursing, medicine, nutrition, alcohol and drug abuse, prescription drugs, and more; many articles include full-text and images. 386 surgery videos are now included. 
  • Health and Wellness Resource Center and Alternative Health Module (InfoTrac):  Includes same topics as Health Reference Center Academic, but with a patient-oriented user interface; many articles include full-text and images. 
  • Journal of Dental Hygiene:  full-text from June 2004 to present.
  • Journal of Dentistry for Children:  full-text from January 2002 to present.
  • MEDLINE (FirstSearch):  All areas of medicine, including dentistry and nursing; includes some full-text.
  • PLoS Medicine:  A free, peer-reviewed, open-access, online medical journal covering new research published by the Public Library of Science (PLoS). All articles have full-text.
  • ProQuest Nursing and Allied Health Source:  Over 250 leading full-text journals in nursing and allied health.
  • Salem Press Health: 
    Magill's Medical Guide: "Designed for laymen and written for healthcare consumers, the Guide is a perfect mix of accessibility and depth, providing general readers with an authoritative reference source that helps bridge the gap between medical encyclopedias for professional and popular self-help guides.   • Salem Press American History:
