       Valley Information Portal (VIP) 

Registration Dates and Times

Refund and Withdrawal Deadlines

If you have never been admitted to KVCC, or have not attended in the past five years, you will need to submit an application to activate your web account. Contact the Student Service Center at 269-488-4100 if you have questions.

Browser Requirements:

Firefox (Download Firefox)

Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher for PC (Download Internet Explorer)

Netscape 6.2 or higher (Download Netscape Navigator)

(Note:  AOL users may need to exit their AOL browser and use one mentioned above.)

Login to system
 

1.  Valley Information Portal (VIP)

2.  Username    (example: jsmith1234)

     1st initial, max 10 letters of last name, last 4-digits of your Valley Number

3.  Password    (originally your birthdate MMDDYY if provided, or the last 6-digits of your Valley Number)

4.  Login

 
Change your password
From the VIP Home tab:
 

1.  Enter Username    (example: jsmith1234)

     1st initial, max 10 letters of last name, last 4-digits of  your Valley Number

2.  Current Password    (originally your birthdate MMDDYY)

3.  Type New Password

     (Any minimum combination of 5 letters and/or numbers up to a maximum of 15 characters.)

4.  Retype New Password to confirm

5.  Change Selected Password

 

Register or add a class

Note: Some courses have required or recommended prerequisites. Please review the
course catalog before registering to see if your course has a prerequisite.
 
From the VIP Student tab:
 

1.  QUICK LINK:  Register Now

2.  Select a term from drop down menu

3.  Submit Term

4.  Add/Drop Classes

5.  Enter a CRN in any of the fields provided in the Add Class worksheet. 

     Entering a CRN on the worksheet does not reserve a seat until you submit them.

6.  Submit Changes

     After reviewing course availability, the system will post courses you successfully registered

     for on your Current Schedule.  Error messages for courses that cannot be added will show

     below the current schedule.  For example, cancelled classes will show the error message

     “Course is not available for registration at this time.”

7.  Registration Fee Assessment at bottom of page

     Note:  Print this screen for your tuition bill.

8.  Back to Student Tab or Logout

 

Search for a class

Note: Some courses have required or recommended prerequisites. Please review the

From the VIP Student tab:
 

1.  QUICK LINK:  Register Now

2.  Select a term from drop down menu

3.  Submit Term

4.  Look-Up Classes to Add

5.  Select a term from drop down menu and submit

6.  Subject (Required)  

7.  Select any available menu choices.  (optional)

8.  Class Search

9.  Click the box to the left of the CRN

       A “C” in place of the box designates a class is closed.  A box will not appear if you are

       already registered for a CRN or it is too late to register.

10.  Register to immediately add the class

       Note:  We do not recommend using “Add to Worksheet.” Entering a CRN on the table

       does not reserve a seat until you submit your changes.

11.  Submit Changes

12.  Back to Student Tab or Logout

 

Drop or withdraw from a class

From the VIP Student tab:
 

1.  QUICK LINK:  Register Now

2.  Select a term from drop down menu

3.  Submit Term

4.  Add/Drop Classes

5.  Drop or Withdraw  from the drop down menu to the left of the course 

     If neither option is available, it may be too late to remove yourself from the class. 

     Check the deadline dates and if the deadline has not past, you will need to withdraw

     in person.  You may come to either campus to withdraw in person prior to the deadline date.

6.  Submit Changes

7.  Back to Student Tab or Logout

 

Class schedule view and print

From the VIP Student tab:
 

1.  QUICK LINK:  Schedule

2.  Select a term from drop down menu

3.  Submit Term

4.  Print on your server toolbar

5.  Back to Student Tab or Logout

 

Tuition view and print

From the VIP Student tab:
 

1.  QUICK LINK:  Pay Tuition

2.  Select a term from drop down menu

4.  Submit Term

5.  Print on your server toolbar

6.  Account Summary by Term at the bottom of the page to review your account history

7.  Back to Student Tab or Logout

 

Credit card payment

From the VIP Student tab:
 

1.  QUICK LINK:  Pay Tuition

2.  Select a term from drop down menu

3.  Submit Term

4.  Pay Now  -or-  Credit Card Payment at the bottom of the page

5.  Credit Card type

6.  Enter Your Credit Card Number

7.  Enter Your credit card Expiration Date (MMYY)

8.  Enter Your tuition Payment Amount

9.  Submit Payment

       Note:  A confirmation displays when your payment is approved. 

       Print this screen for your receipt.

10.  Back to Student Tab or Logout

 

Grades view and print

From the VIP Student tab:
 

1.  QUICK LINK:  Grades

2.  Select a Term from the drop down menu

3.  Submit Term

4.  Print on your server toolbar

5.  Back to Student Tab or Logout

 

Transcript view and print

From the VIP Student tab:
 

1.  QUICK LINK:  Transcripts

2.  Select a level from the drop down menu

          Undergraduate = credit courses

          Continuing Education = noncredit courses

          All levels = both credit and noncredit courses

3.  Submit

4.  Print on your server toolbar

5.  Back to Student Tab or Logout
