Global (International Studies) In addition to the basic course learning objectives, students will broaden their knowledge of the geography and cultures of different countries. |

HY |
Hybrid Sections combine face-to-face classroom instruction with computer-based learning. Hybrid courses move a significant part of course learning online and, as a result, reduce the amount of classroom seat time. A computer with internet capabilities (a home computer or one in KVCC’s Computer Lab) is required. Contact the instructor with any further questions. |

Independent Study Sections
--Students must contact the instructor during the first week of class or attend an orientation to receive course requirements. |

TC |
Telecourse Sections use videos or DVD’s in place of class meetings along with textbooks, study guides, and other materials. Instructors are available to provide assistance. DVD’s may be viewed in the College libraries or tapes may be rented for home use from the KVCC Campus Bookstore with a partially refundable deposit. DVD’s may be purchased at the Bookstore. A one-hour orientation is required. |

TL |
Technology Lab sections are individualized and taught in the Technology (computer) Lab. A microcomputer and various instructional software packages are used. A one-hour orientation and weekly attendance is required. |

WB |
Web Sections deliver all instruction online. Classes require an online orientation and/or require that exams will be taken at an approved testing location. A computer with internet capabilities (a home computer or one in KVCC’s Computer Lab) is required. Students must contact the instructor during the first week of class or attend an orientation to receive course access details. |

Internship
A minimum of 48 hours of work is required for each credit hour earned. Students must be authorized to register for an Internship by the Internship Coordinator. The Internship Office will work with students to locate an appropriate work site for the internship. Current employment may be used if the duties and responsibilities of the job are directly related to the area of study and can fulfill the learning objectives.
