
The Focus Program at Kalamazoo Valley Community College is a collaborative effort between KVCC and Western Michigan University. It offers academic and student support to those transferring to WMU after completion of an associate degree. This is a voluntary commitment that affords students extra attention and information about activities, courses and services at KVCC to encourage academic and individual achievement.
The program benefits include:

- Workshops and seminars on related topics
- Networking opportunities with instructors, other students and community leaders
- Campus visits to WMU
- Student Achievement luncheons
- Tutorial assistance and referrals

How to Apply
Interested students should apply at The Focus Program Office in Room 1364, within the counseling area of the KVCC Texas Township Campus. Staff members can also be reached during the fall and winter semesters each Wednesday from 8 a.m. to noon at Anna Whitten Hall on the Arcadia Commons Campus within the counseling office.
Students should complete The Focus Program Student Profile/ Disclaimer Form. A staff member will then arrange a regular meeting day and time. Students are also encouraged to stop by at any time for questions and assistance.
