Valley Community College is committed to recognizing experiential
learning. We acknowledge learning can be acquired from a variety of
sources outside the traditional classroom. Your skills and abilities
may have been attained through work, training, military service, non
credit workshops, hobbies, travel and community activities. The
experience and knowledge you have accumulated may be equivalent to
college level learning and therefore eligible for KVCC college
credit. |

In the Prior
Learning Assessment (PLA) office, our aim is to help further your
educational process by acknowledging the knowledge you attained
through life experiences. We provide support through career
exploration, as well as guiding you through academic planning to
achieve your higher education and employment goals.
