NURS 9900 Nurse Refresher This is a three week course designed for licensed nurses preparing to re-enter nursing practice. The course includes a review and update of basic nursing care concepts and principles, a review and update of nursing skills, and an update on nursing practice theory and principles. At the completion of the course, the participant will be prepared to enter an orientation program at an employing agency and/ or complete NURS 9901. Pre-requisites information listed below. A variety of planned and supervised clinical practice experiences will be provided in a selected acute care setting. Emphasis in the acute care setting is given to the adult client with medical and surgical nursing care problems. At the completion of the course, the refresher nurse will be prepared to enter an orientation program at an employing agency. Pre-requisites information listed below.
