This year’s Holiday Parade in downtown Kalamazoo takes place at 11 a.m. on Nov. 10.
Watch for the Kalamazoo Valley Cougar Cruiser in the parade lineup. After the parade, follow the Cruiser to the Kalamazoo Valley Museum. At 12:30 p.m., the Kalamazoo Children’s Chorus will perform in the lobby of the museum. During the Museum’s Holiday Hands-On event, which runs from 1 to 4 p.m., children may create holiday gifts and decorations. A holiday display featuring the suit worn by Gilmore Department Store's long-time Santa, Darwin Brown, will be showcased in the Museum's lobby.
“We’re excited to be a part of these festivities again this year,” said Kalamazoo Valley Museum Director Bill McElhone. “Our Hands-On events are always popular with area families and we expect the Children’s Chorus performance to be a big draw, too. This will be a great way for everyone to get into the holiday spirit.”
The Kalamazoo Holiday Parade is a program of DKA Charities, Inc. Public Media Network will feature WKZO's Lori Moore and Richard Piet as hosts of the live broadcast of the Parade. The stage will be located on Park Street by Bronson Park.
The Kalamazoo Valley Museum is operated by Kalamazoo Valley Community College and is governed by its Board of Trustees.
