How was it decided how much each manager was given?

Your Recognition Bank was determined by the number of full-time employees you supervise.

Are there any rules/policies on how I spend the money?

Existing purchasing rules apply; please reference: Procurement and Cash Disbursement Manual

Why isn't there money for my part-time employees?

Your Recognition Bank is based on the number of full-time employees; however we encourage you to use it to recognize ALL employees that you supervise.

Do I have to spend the money by a certain date?

Yes, by June 30th, the end of the fiscal year

What if I choose not to use the money?

We strongly encourage you to use the funds. If you would like help with recognizing your staff, please contact a member of the Recognition Committee.

What if I don't use all the money by the end of the fiscal year? Can I save if for next year?

The funds are for the fiscal year only and cannot be rolled over into next year.

What if I want to do something not in the Idea Menu?

Go for it! The Idea Menu is meant to be just that- ideas. We encourage you to find the best and most appropriate ways to recognize your employees. Please use the Recognition Profile.

How do I know what my employees want?

Use the Recognition Profile in the toolkit and/or online to help recognize your employees in ways that are most meaningful to them.
