Students transferring to Materials or Chemical Engineering should complete CHM 220 and CHM 230. Most engineering programs require a minimum GPA of 3.0-3.5 (both overall and math/science courses). A CIS course may be taken as one of the elective courses, but a student should contact the College of Engineering Advising office prior to enrollment in any CIS course at KVCC. All students who meet minimum qualifications are not guaranteed admission. The application deadline dates for equal consideration vary, typically March 1 for fall semester and October 1 for winter semester.
