This program is designed to prepare students to transfer to the College of Education at WMU. It is designed to meet the General Education requirements for the Bachelor's degree in combination with a technical course concentration as the teaching major. The degree is designed for students who have earned an AAS degree in a vocational area and have two years (4,000 hours) of work experience in a technical/vocational area. Students must meet admission requirements for the WMU College of Education which include: 2.5 overall GPA, 2.0 grade in PSY 160, passing score on the Michigan Test for Teacher Certification Basic Skills Section. Students need to apply to WMU one year in advance of the Fall semester in which they plan to enroll at WMU. Contact a KVCC counselor, or the program advisor at WMU. No courses with grades less than 2.0 will transfer to WMU.
