Upon successful completion of nursing course work in Level I, the student will receive a Certificate in Practical Nursing and will be eligible to write the National Council Licensure Exam for the Practical Nurse (NCLEX-PN). Upon successful completion of all nursing course work in Level I and Level II, the graduate will receive an Associate in Applied Science degree and will be eligible to write the National Council Licensure Exam for the Registered Nurse (NCLEX-RN).
The nursing program at KVCC prepares the student for a technical career in nursing. As a graduate you may transfer your credits toward a baccalaureate in nursing degree at several area colleges and universities. The KVCC program counselors will assist you with transfer information.
