Personal Well-Being

College should be challenging but not overwhelming! However, sometimes life is complicated and stressful which can disrupt your academic performance and success. Know that you are not alone during these difficult times. Our Counselors can provide advice, support, and referrals for personal counseling needs. All appointments are private and confidential.

Please call (269) 488-4123 to make an appointment or stop by in person. We're located in the Student Success Center on the 2nd floor of the Student Services Wing. We are open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm with additional hours on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Please contact our office for summer hours.

If you (or someone you know) is struggling but aren't ready to make an appointment, consider learning more information.

Join MTVU, MTV's 24-hour college network and the Jed Foundation which explores college students' mental health in their Emotional Health 101 video

Half of Us is a great resource to find ways to take control of your mental health by taking an anonymous screening tool to check your mental health or learning how to help yourself or a friend.

For more information on stress, depression, anxiety and more, click here to access an online behavioral support system created by the Jed Foundation. The University of Chicago's Student Counseling Virtual Pamphlet Collection and the University of Texas' at Austin "Common Student Concerns" are both helpful online resources for students.
