The 48 Chevy
Alternative Fuel Street Rod


This Street Rod is a cross-curriculum project between the Automotive Technology Program, Drafting, Machine Tool, and the Welding Program as well.
The Automotive Program here at KVCC is very excited about this project because not only is it building the team-work skills of all individuals involved, but it will also give KVCC a vehicle that can be used to train students in Alternative Fuels.
The vehicle was generously donated in 1999 by Mr. Cliff Hooks of Richland, Michigan.
A complete frame-up restoration is currently in progress with student participation and faculty guidance. Take a look at this project, which has been possible only through the support of the Kalamazoo Valley Community College Foundation and the sponsors listed below.
