Significance is the topic of February's Talent Theme Spotlight Panel Discussion

The February Talent Theme Spotlight panel discussion will be on Significance, a frequently chided and misunderstood theme.

Everything about talents and the strengths we build on them is based on positive psychology - studying what's right with people. All 34 talent themes identified by Gallup are patterns of thoughts, feelings and behaviors (or actions) that lead to positive outcomes, and Significance is as powerful and positive as the rest.

For those with Significance, their lives are filled with goals, achievements, or qualifications they crave so they can contribute at the highest level. This theme keeps pulling them upward, away from the mediocre toward the exceptional. There is great energy, power, determination, and motivation within them to make a significant and lasting difference in the world. At the same time, they want to be recognized for the difference they make, but it is their contribution, the difference they make, that is their driving force.

Join us on Thursday, February 21st from 2:00 - 3:00 as panelists Louise Anderson, William Blair, Amy Louallen, and Jeremy Minar, share how Significance impacts their lives. Register online on the Staff Development calendar, email workshops@kvcc.edu, or call the Registration Hotline at 488-4142.
