National Constitution Day

09/16/2013  2:00 pm to 3:00 pm

Arcadia Commons Campus, AHW Room 128

In recognition of National Constitution Day, the Arcadia Committee for Cultural Understanding is sponsoring a presentation and discussion about the controversies and compromises that led to the development of the U.S. Constitution, and the continuing controversies in today's world.

The law establishing Constitution Day was created in 2004. The intent was to provide an opportunity for students to broaden their knowledge of the Constitution, given its far reaching ramifications shaping both our history and our lives. This is especially important at a time when constitutional issues - from privacy to presidential power, to gun control - confront the nation.

The event will be held at 2 p.m. on Sept. 16 in room 128 in Anna Whitten Hall. Refreshments will be served.
