Veterans Day at Kalamazoo Valley
Kalamazoo Valley will honor veterans with a flag-raising ceremony, student veteran panel discussion, and a reception on Nov. 11 at the Texas Township Campus.
The day begins with a 7:45 a.m. flag-raising ceremony, followed by refreshments at 8:30 a.m. in Room 4240.
From 9 to 10 a.m., a panel of student veterans will share their unique perspectives and experiences.
From 10 to 10:30 a.m., at the future site of the Veterans Tribute Garden, Student Veterans of America Vice President and Kalamazoo Valley student Nick Johnson will present "Advancing the Veterans Tribute Garden."
The President's Appreciation Reception for Veterans, in room 4230 from 2 to 3 p.m., concludes the day's events. The reception is open to all service members and veterans at Kalamazoo Valley, including students, faculty, and staff. Kalamazoo Valley Community College President Marilyn Schlack will host the event and light refreshments will be served.
