In the Medical Coding Specialist certificate program, you will obtain a comprehensive overview of procedures and processes necessary for employment in the administrative side of a medical office or other health care facility. You will be able to handle all front office skills with an emphasis on insurance coding and billing of health claims in the ambulatory setting. Coding credentials are available through AHIMA, AAPC and other professional organizations upon fulfilling their requirements. *Please note that this program requires a specialized application packet.
