Alternative Routes to a Bachelors Degree

Many four-year schools offer the associate degree graduate alternative options to earning a bachelors degree.  Below are brief descriptions of several of these schools with contact information.


CMU Central Michigan University
Central Michigan University offers degree completion programs through their office of Off-Campus Programs. The completion programs allow graduates of KVCC with an Associate of Arts to transfer directly into a bachelors degree in Administration/Organization Administration In addition there is an agreement between the two schools for graduates of either the Law Enforcement or Fire Science associate degrees to transfer into a Bachelor of Science degree Community Development option in Public Administration Related website
 
CU Cornerstone University
Cornerstone University offers an accelerated degree completion program for associate degree graduates. Davenport Davenport University
Davenport University offers graduates of KVCC the option of finishing a bachelors degree with a "3+1" option. This means an associate degree graduate has the possibility of completing up to the equivalent of a third year (another 30 credit hours) beyond the completion of the associate degree at KVCC. kaplan logo Kaplan University
KVCC has entered into an Articulation Agreement with Kaplan University.  Kaplan is an accredit university with a totally on-line method of course instruction.  Students completing an Associate degree are eligible for a block transfer of credits, the entire associate degree is credited for transfer.  For further information contact  Kaplan University

 

Miller Logo Miller College
Miller College was founded specifically to meet the needs of students needing a bachelors degree.  Courses are offered at the junior/senior level only.  Courses meet on the campus of Kellogg Community College in Battle Creek. Information may be obtained from the website http://www.millercollege.edu or from the Miller representative during KVCC campus visits scheduled several times each semester.

 

Northwood Northwood University
Northwood University has a BBA program, with several areas of emphasis, including Health Care Management and Automotive Supply Management.  These degree programs are available primarily for adult students.  NU has provided a listing of common core requirements for students interested in completing a degree through their University Curriculum. Siena Heights University

Siena Heights offers several locations for degree completion programs throughout the state. There is also the possibility of completing a bachelors degree on-line. Programs available include; Accounting, Business Administration, Health Care Management, Human Service Management, and Public Services Administration. Siena website

Walsh

Walsh College
Any KVCC student who completes a minimum of 60 semester hours with a minimum 2.0 GPA may transfer all credits toward one of the following Bachelor degrees: Accountancy, Business Information, Finance, General Business, Management, or Marketing. University of Phoenix
Elevate your education by transferring your KVCC credits toward a U of P degree. U of P will provide a 5% tuition reduction and a 100% prior learning fee reduction to new students entering into a Bachelor degree program to students who have obtained an associate degree.
