  5. Submit Changes After reviewing course availability, the system will post courses you successfully registered for on your Current Schedule. Waitlist a Class

Prior to the start of a semester, if a class is closed and there is a spot open on the waitlist, you can add yourself to the waitlist to be notified via your KVCC e-mail account when a seat opens for you. Refer to www.kvcc.edu/waitlist for more information. When you attempt to register for a class that is closed, you will be given a message that says the class is closed and it will indicate if the waitlist is available or full. Make note of the CRN for the closed class if you are going to waitlist. You can also make note of a CRN if you find a class while using the search tool and you see that the seats are full but there is a waitlist seat open.

  1. My Links: Register or Drop Classes
  2. Select a term from drop down menu
  3. Submit Term
  4. Enter the CRN of the closed class in any of the fields provided in the Add Class worksheet.
  5. Submit Changes
  6. The system will inform you the class is closed and indicate if the waitlist is available.
  7. Select Waitlist from the Action menu.
  8. Submit Changes After reviewing waitlist availability and your qualifications for the class, the system will either post the course you successfully waitlisted on your Current Schedule or it will return an error.
Error messages for courses that cannot be waitlisted will show below the current schedule. Errors may be that you haven’t met the prerequisite or that the waitlist is closed. The only error that will not prevent you from waitlisting is a time conflict with another class, but that will need to be resolved before you can register.
