Registration Dates and Times

If you have never been admitted to KVCC, or have not attended in the past two years, you will need to submit an application to activate your web account. Contact the Student Service Center at 269-488-4100 if you have questions.

Login to System
  1. My Valley
  2. Username (example: jsmith1234)
    1st initial, max 10 letters of last name, last 4-digits of your Valley Number
  3. Password
  4. Login

The first time you log into My Valley your initial password will depend on when you were admitted to Kalamazoo Valley.

If you were admitted prior to 08/01/12 - Your password will be your six-digit birth date (MMDDYY), if you provided it; or the last 6-digits of your Valley Number.

If you were admitted after 08/01/12 - You must first set up a new account and establish a password. To set up your KVCC account, please visit www.kvcc.edu/new. You will be asked to enter the single-use New Account Code (NAC) and Username provided in your acceptance letter. (Note: Alternate options may be available to you on the new account setup page if you no longer have your NAC.)

If you need assistance, please bring a photo ID (Driver's License, State ID card or Valley ID card) to the Student Service Center on either campus, or the Admissions, Registration and Records office on the TTC campus.
Change Your Password
  1. Change Your Password (top right)
  2. Enter Username (example: jsmith1234)
    1st initial, max 10 letters of last name, last 4-digits of your Valley Number
  3. Current Password (originally your birthdate MMDDYY)
  4. Type New Password
    (A minimum combination of 8 characters including at least one letter, one number and one of the following characters: ! % * + - / : ? _ )
  5. Retype New Password to confirm
  6. Change Password
Register or Add a Class
Note: Some courses have required or recommended prerequisites. Please review the course description before registering to see if your course has a prerequisite.

  2. Select a term from drop down menu
  3. Submit Term
  4. Enter a CRN in any of the fields provided in the Add Class worksheet.
    (Entering a CRN on the worksheet does not reserve a seat until you submit them). Or, perform a Class Search (see instructions below).
  5. Submit Changes
    After reviewing course availability, the system will post courses you successfully registered for on your Current Schedule.
    Error messages for courses that cannot be added will show below the current schedule. For example, cancelled classes will show the error "Course is not available for registration at this time."
  6. View Account Detail and Pay at bottom of page
    Note: Print this screen for your tuition bill.
  7. Student Detail Schedule to print a copy of your class schedule.
  8. Exit and Close to return to VIP where you can continue or Logout
Search for a class
Please review the course descriptions before registering to see if your course has a prerequisite.

  6. Select any available menu choices. (optional)
  7. Class Search
  8. Click the box to the left of the CRN you prefer:
    A "C" in place of the box designates a class is closed. A box will not appear if you are already registered for a CRN or no registration (NR) is allowed.
  9. Register to immediately add the class
    Note: We do not recommend using "Add to Worksheet." Entering a CRN on this table does not reserve a seat until you submit your changes.
  10. Submit Changes
  11. Exit and Close to return to VIP where you can continue or Logout
Drop or withdraw from a class

  2. Select a term from drop down menu
  3. Submit Term
  4. Drop or Withdraw from the drop down menu to the left of the course
    If neither option is available, it may be too late to remove yourself from the class.
    Check the deadline dates and if the deadline has not passed, you will need to withdraw in person. You may come to either campus to withdraw in person prior to the deadline date.
  5. Submit Changes
  6. Exit and Close to return to VIP where you can continue or Logout

  5. Pay Tuition at the bottom of the page to submit your payment

Pay Tuition
  1. Quick Link: Pay Tuition
  2. Note: You will be redirected to a secure payment website. The amount due is displayed on this form and will automatically load into the credit card payment field.
  3. Select a term
  4. Click Make Payment
  5. If necessary, correct the tuition amount you will be paying.
  6. Select a payment method (credit card or eCheck electronic funds transfer)
  7. Click Continue
  8. Enter the required account information.
  9. Click Continue
  10. Review the payment information for accuracy.
  11. Click Continue
  12. Log off and Close to return to VIP where you can continue or Logout.
    There are payment options available, such as email notifications, account profile storage and the ability to set up an account for another person to pay your tuition for you. Please explore your payment account or call the Pay Station at 269-488-4292 for more information.

Financial Aid Loan and Work-Study Award Acceptance

  5. Accept Award Offer
  6. Submit
    Accept, reduce or decline your award offer. Then come into the Financial Aid office to sign appropriate paperwork.

View Authorized Financial Aid and Payment Due

  3. If Current Due net of Authorized Aid shows an amount to be paid, you must pay this amount. If you have additional aid money pending approval, you must pay the balance if the additional aid will not be authorized by the payment deadline.

Degree Progress Report

  4. Submit Term
  5. Make sure the correct program is listed and click the radio button beside it.
  6. (If you need to make a program change, contact the Counseling office or Student Service Center on either campus.)
  7. Generate New Evaluation
  8. Click the button next to the Program
  9. Generate Request
  10. Select General Requirements, Detailed Requirements or Additional Information
  11. Submit
  12. Back to Display Options or Exit and Close to return to VIP where you can continue or Logout
Petition to Graduate
  1. Quick Link: Graduation Information/Petition to Graduate
  2. Petition to Graduate
  3. Select the month you wish to graduate.
    (Winter graduation in May must be petitioned by March 31st, Summer graduation in August by June 30th and Fall graduation in December by October 31st.)
  4. Make sure your address and telephone number are correct.
    (If you need to make a change, submit a Personal Information Update form to the Admissions, Registration and Records Office or the Student Service Center on either campus.)
  5. If you are transferring to another institution, select the college from the drop down list.
  6. Make sure the correct program is listed.
    (If you need to make a program change, contact the Counseling office or Student Service Center on either campus.)
  7. Select Yes or No to indicate if you are transferring credits from another college to KVCC and indicate from which college(s) in the space provided.
  8. Submit
    Note: The Degree Auditor will reply via e-mail to your KVCC e-mail address.
  9. Exit and Close to return to VIP where you can continue or Logout
