Outside Scholarships

The scholarship remittance letter should provide student information and any specific requirements regarding the distribution of the award such as student's full name, Student ID, award year or term, and how funds are to be applied (tuition, fees, books, educational expenses, etc.). Also, indicate if any remaining scholarships funds can be paid directly to the student or be returned to the organization at the end of the semester or award year. Please list a contact person from your organization in case there are any questions regarding the scholarship.

Scholarship checks should be made payable to Kalamazoo Valley Community College and mailed to:

If dropping off a Scholarship check in person, please take the Scholarship Letter and check to the Student Financial Services office at the Texas Township Campus.

Upon receipt of the scholarship funds, it generally takes two weeks before the student is awarded the funds. Be sure to send funds early in order to ensure payment due dates are met.
