TEXAS TOWNSHIP CAMPUS
The Texas Township Campus (TTC) is the original and largest campus. It is located one-half mile south of the Oshtemo exit I-94 and is easily accessible from both I-94 and U.S. 131. Designed by Aldon Dow, a student of Frank Lloyd Wright, the campus is beautifully integrated into its 187 acre setting. Three courtyards, well-tended grounds and athletic fields, and a wonderful vista of woodland from the two-story library windows make the campus an attractive setting for study.
Housed on the TTC are a full range of occupational and transfer courses and programs. Labs, from biology to computer-assisted manufacturing, are well-equipped and staffed by people eager to help you succeed. Faculty are committed to the student and the learning process. Small class sizes, tutors, free computer access and many other factors contribute to a learning environment centered around student success.
The TTC also houses the College's athletic and intramural programs. Intercollegiate sports include basketball, baseball, softball, tennis, golf, and volleyball. An olympic- sized pool, tennis courts, cross country trails, track, and exercise center are available to all students. There are many student clubs and activities to help you get involved, meet other students of all ages, and develop work skills, and have fun.
At the TTC, you will meet students in cardiorespiratory care and students in international studies. You will see classes meeting in the courtyard on a fine spring day and classes on skis, wending through the woods in the winter. You will get to know faculty and staff who are encouraging and supportive. You may be surprised by an innovative Honors Program or an invitation to attend a technology expo. Whether Kalamazoo Valley Community College is your first college experience or one stop on your path of life-long learning, you will appreciate our dedication to quality and to the success of our students.
