Albert Little, a member of the Kalamazoo Valley Community College Foundation Board of Trustees, has been inducted into the Kalamazoo Central High School Athletic Hall of Fame.
Now vice president of business development for Greenleaf Trust, Little, who graduated from high school in 1976, quarterbacked the Maroon Giants’ undefeated football team in his senior year and at one time held all of the school’s records for passing.
An all-stater in football who went on to play for the Western Michigan University Broncos and scored four touchdowns in one game, Little also was a member of the 440 relay team and competed for a state championship in that event.
KVCC math instructor Daniel Cunningham is the reigning president of the Interfaith Strategy for Advocacy and Action in the Community (ISAA).
At its recent community-issues convention, members identified youth development, education and housing as the major agenda items to be addressed in the coming months.
Task forces have been formed to discuss how to analyze each issue and to make improvements in the status quo. ISAAC is a consortium of religious congregations and community organizations that have been mobilized “to pool our collective resources to create visible changes in Kalamazoo County,” Cunningham said.
