Softball, Baseball Teams Earn Fourth-Place Finishes

Congratulations to the softball and baseball teams for their hustle this season, both earning fourth place in the Western Conference of the Michigan Community College Athletic Association.

The softball team wrapped up with a 7-17 conference record and 11-21 overall record on May 2. The baseball team finished with a 13-12 conference record and a 24-20 overall record on May 3.

"Both teams played hard this season and gave it their best," said Athletic Director Russ Panico. "The college looks forward to the 2025-2026 season."

Head Baseball Coach Steve Bennecke expects to have at least 10 returning players and 14 freshmen committed to play. He hopes to round out his team with 30 to 34 players on the roster.

Head Softball Coach Lisa Karau expects eight returning players and has 11 freshmen committed to play. She looks forward to rounding out her team with 19 on the roster.
