Drop-in for an Advising and Counseling Appointment, Now Through Sept. 5
Fall semester begins Sept. 3. Are you ready? Student Development Services is offering same-day drop-in advising and counseling appointments from Monday, Aug. 18 through Friday, Sept. 5. Office hours are Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Tuesdays from 8 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Simply stop by Room 9300 on the Texas Township Campus or Room 120 at Anna Whitten Hall in downtown Kalamazoo. Nursing and culinary students can also stop by the Marilyn J. Schlack Culinary and Allied Health Building in downtown Kalamazoo for a drop-in appointment. Those interested in video or phone drop-in appointments can call 269.488.4040 to get in a virtual line.
During these convenient drop-in appointments, advisors and counselors can help with:
- Reviewing guided self-placement recommendations and placement test scores
- Explaining program requirements
- Selecting courses
- Changing majors
- Explaining prerequisites
- Reviewing college transcripts
- Performing pre-graduation audits
- Reviewing unofficial transcripts from other schools
- Completing program evaluations for financial aid appeals
- Giving recommendations about adding and dropping courses
