Clear Your Clutter: Kalamazoo Valley to Host Bi-Annual Recycling Event April 18
Is your storage space starting to look like a graveyard for old tech? Are you holding onto bags of foam packaging from your last delivery? It's time to clear out the clutter and keep it out of the landfill.
Kalamazoo Valley Community College is proud to host its bi-annual community recycling event on Saturday, April 18, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Whether you are a student, staff member, or a local neighbor, we invite you to swing by the Texas Township Campus to dispose of your hard-to-recycle items responsibly.
What You Can Bring
We are able to accept a wide variety of materials. There is no limit to the amount of material you can bring!
- No cost - EPS foam (styrofoam), general electronics, small appliances
- $10 fee per unit - Television and displays, items with freon
Why it Matters
This event is part of Kalamazoo Valley's ongoing commitment to sustainability. By providing a local drop-off point for electronics and foam — materials that aren't typically accepted in curbside bins — we help reduce environmental impact and support a circular economy.
Can't make this one? Don't worry. This is a bi-annual tradition! If you can't make it this spring, start a "recycling corner" in your basement now — our next event will take place in October.
