The Center for New Media opened its own specialized practice lab. The lab caters to both Macintosh and PC users. There are 25 iMac Macintosh computers with Adobe and Macromedia products in addition to the Microsoft Office products. All Macs have cd/DVD-writers so students are able to save large amounts of information quickly. The PC user has access to 19 computers with CD/DVD-R capacity with access to Adobe Products, Microsoft Visual Studio, 3D Studio Max, Java client, FTP and Microsoft Office.

The lab also has a laser color printer, 2 black & white laser printers, three color scanners and a negative scanner for the use on student projects.

We welcome any currently enrolled student to come in, type that paper for class, work on your CIS assignments, browse the Web, check your e-mail, use one of our scanners or laser printers. Just remember to have a current KVCC photo ID. An ID is required for admittance to the lab and may be obtained at the Student Service Center at Anna Whitten Hall. Please visit the Student Service Center Hours webpage to get you started.

Please stop by the lab desk and let us help you to get started.
